4th Annual Heart Walk-A-Thon in Memory of Alex Harp

We are underway planning for the 4th Annual Walk-A-Thon.  We are very excited.  This year we expect to have many more walkers and we pray for nice weather, as it has been for the past 3 years. 

This year we will use the monies raised to go toward a scholarship for a 2012 Coffee High School graduate and to help a family out who has a child with a heart defect.  We are very excited about this years walk, as we have already had many people to contact us about it.

3rd Annual Heart Walk-A-Thon in Memory Of Alex Harp

We had a wonderful time.  Still did not rain, thank the Lord.  We had a little over 100 walkers.  Great turn out and great fellowship.

Thanks to everyone for their support.

Monies raised during this event will be used throughout the year for expenses of parents with children who have a heart defect.  Last year we were able to give a family a couple of hundred dollars and help with a Wii Console.  The parents have a daughter who had to have major heart surgery in November, 2009.  The little girl was extremely nervous and scared.  The Wii helped ease some tension and gave her something to look forward to.  The money helped with gas expenses and food while away.
